I drive a 1.8 dual vvti yaris ts and it's a fun nugget. It's practical, it's quick enough to move around town quickly, I like how it grips and how responsive it is. It's not the best car in the world but I think you get a good amount of car for the money you pay.

The shielded wipers are so ice doesn't build up in them, a small amount of ice can stop the wipers from flexing to the shape of the window so you end up with the wiper only touching in one narrow spot of the windshield.

bolt on flares are the ugliest thing you can do to a car.
take some time if youre useing bolt on and use some bondo to blend the flares then paint it at lest

The makers of PBlaster (a penetrating spray) make a product called PB RV Silicone. It works on rubber seals to keep them from breaking down. That on a rough paper shop towel is good for restoring plastic head light covers.

Look for a Daihatsu Charade GTTi and do something with that! My dad used to work for the Daihatsu Rally team back in the 90's they were a mad little car. Under 1 litre turbocharged registration number of the rally car was G880 PKK if I can remember rightly from when I was about 10years old.
