I actually have the blood thing. I also have it with needles. I have a tendency that if I even see a needle I will go down swinging I literally cannot control it. I will start sobbing with needles and will faint if I see blood.
@8:30 Dr. Mike felt that too. You can see it on his face.
Literally the rest of thet story arc was so sad and so amazing. It is the one bit of that show that -really- stuck with me, which is impressive for a show that is more comical.
Bedazzled wasn't actually a bad concept.Sadly, Liz Hurley was in it.
Season 5 episode "My Lunch". Please react to that one

Also, he missed his chance at a "like the back of your hand" joke at 2:11.
No one:Absolutely no one:Doc mike: FUN FACT ABOUT TESTICLES😂
So, about 4 years ago, this happened to me.My wife called me at work saying she had dropped a picture frame on her toe. She said that she could see blood coming from the center of her nail. So I get home and sure enough, her nail was split in half from left to right across the nail. So we go to the hospital and the doctor says that nail removal would be best. She agrees, and he begins removing her toenail. While this is going on, I'm standing next to her holding her hand.Suddenly, I get tunnel vision, my hearing gets muffled, and my neck gets hot. Next thing I know, I'm on the floor. The nurse is sitting me up and he asks what I do for a living and where I am. I say, "I'm a trucker and I'm in [redacted] hospital emergency room."After that, I realize that I never let go of my wife's hand.So I have two questions about that. 1) was that a vasovagal response? 2) how didn't I let go of her hand?
I used to be brave and tough and seeing deep cuts, getting shots, etc. Didn't bother me at all. Then I had a terrible motorcycle accident, I saw my bones sticking out, deep inside my legs and arms, had many surgeries, hundreds of shots, and now I just can't bear to see my own guts or take shots anymore. Now, I'm a wimp. I've seen too much....oh, and unless you live in Montana with 100s of miles of open road and no traffic.... stay off the bikes. They became popular long before traffic was a thing, their time is over....
notices bandage is gone in dream sequence, fails to notice its return in reality
When a patient has a significant change in their lab values it can be difficult to interpret for a laboratory professional. Take your example of a major decrease in a patients RBC count. As a lab tech I would a) repeat the testing and verify the labeling of the sample if possible b) check the sample for clotting which could lower the count due to cells being part of the clot c) I would call the patients nurse and inquire whether the patient may be bleeding, had surgery etc.At this point if the nurse hasn’t confirmed any clinical reason for bleeding and I don’t think the sample is diluted I would release the result with a comment questioning the accuracy. This puts the responsibility on the physician for them to determine if the result is clinically valid or needs confirmation via repeat testing. The sad truth is that at least 1/1000 samples are mislabeled and we don’t always have all the info to accurately determine. This is where a quality physician comes into play to make the proper clinical judgements but we lab techs are vital in recognizing these errant results
Please watch and react to Season 5 Ep 20, Dr. Mike. It's by far one of the most powerful episodes of the show.
Hi Dr. Mike!! I think a the next episode you should watch in Scrubs is in Season 5 episode 20. It's about transplant recipients dying and Dr. Cox having a break down.
You should watch the episode "My lunch"S5E20
Nooooo that’s the saddest episode of all TV!
MORE SCRUBS! DR. MIKE! REVIEW MORE SCRUBS!Edit: Please and Thank you. 😁
The Very next episode Season 1 Episode 23 and Season 3 Episode 14
Don't American hospitals use those fancy wristbands with bar codes and names?
This episode of scrubs is, I think, Brendan Fraser's best performance. His "That sucks" hits like a fucking freight train
JD had vasovagal syncope from pooping
“Being a lab nerd” I thought you were going to talk about how horribly wrong that slide was 😂. Such a small detail but annoys me every time I see it on a tv show/movie.
