burn in safeguards and warranty and service centers and customer support.
LG knocked it out of the Park!.Best of show!Unfortunately their prices are also out of my park!!!
Be nicer for the rollable to have a see through panel at the very bottom like maybe 5” so it makes it look like it’s floating.
This James guy is pretty horrible. He seems to have no idea about technology and just speaks in general terms. How can you say that it upscales to 8K based on "quality" ?
Am I the only one that thinks 3d needs to make a come back,I really hate that they killed it before it peaked.
I still have my 3d tv !!!!
Does it do 21:9 they showed the prototype doing 21:9 aspect ratio
What to watch on 8k tv? Compressed demo videos on youtube?
Thanks a lot for getting so many great angles. Do you have a clip of looking straight at the bottom glass of the E9 tv? I don't know if you will just see the white base behind the glass or if you see cables? It is hard to tell from their photos too. https://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-OLED65E9PUA-oled-4k-tv
3D Oleds PLEASE
LG: pl aLso Give *3D* & *80fps* GaMing & *140fps* Movies
+VJ SWORD l love that tasteful fakeness
The gave up the superior "Cinema-3D", as people are TOO STUPID to appreciate it. You do stereoscopic gaming at 144hz ("refresh" not frames, that is determined by the source), and you don't want that fast on movies, as it makes it look "as FAKE as it was on the set"...lol
8k Ok who the fk wont that? Only to steal the money
Wow the anti OLED trollfarm is busy here. LCD SUCKS BIG TIME! Especially IPS Panels from LG. VA and FALD are decent at best. Clouding, extreme bad viewing angles, bad uniformity, descent blackblevels, descent light controls, black smearing, worse movement clarity, no pixellevel control. All this after decades of development. Please stay silent with your calculator screens.
Not seeing the hype about the rollable tv, it doesn't roll high enough IMO. There should be a gap between the bottom of the screen and the box it rolled out of.
That's sounds dumb. The full screen is showing why would you need a gap..
LG came to play this year
They do have a very beautiful picture but the image burn is horrible an LG does not warranty that and they customer service really sucks so I see them going the same way as plasma unless they could do something about the image burn
Image burn less than Plasma.
Disappointed to hear they are not showing off the consumer models on the floor. I was hoping for price or release window announcement. Guess I'll have to wait for more info then. Seems kinda weird that they are focusing on models that barely anyone is going to end up buying.
+S Gals Even if drawing an analogy between software and hardware was valid (which it's not), your logic still wouldn't check out. E3 for example is a mostly console, and to a lesser extent PC gaming oriented show. The 60$ AAA games that are being shown off there represent the mass market.I'm also not asking for some cheap 200$ TVs to be shown off. The models I'm talking about are their flagship models for the ongoing year. These models have an advantage compared to most competing models by offering a fully featured HDMI 2.1 chipset. I just think they missed the opportunity to emphasize this advantage on the showfloor by focusing on gimmicks too much.
Jay Harvey And if you knew jack, you would know it's an industry show. Directly from their site, "CES is the world's gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. It has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for 50 years — the global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace."
+S Gals you do KNOW CES stands for Consumer electronics show right?
Cosmic Zeppelin This is CES! Would you go to a gamer show and wonder where the $5 games are?
What the hell. They showed expensive tvs that most people won't buy instead of the C and B series. Such a bullshit.
These are going to be out of reach of the common man then, price of a BMW for a TV I bet, and surely rolling up a panel can't be good for it, micro led is the way forward.
Gerald Dyas This is CES. They show the latest and greatest, some of which aren't close to production. That's like going to a major car show and complaining the cars are too costly, and wondering where the hoopties are.
@4:07 subtitles say 'the world's first 8K toilet' 😂
LG sucks 🤢
LG is The world Best . What TV you like?
They make the best displays. Sit down.
Nice to get conformation that it's the real full HDMI 2.1 in the TV.
I'm getting one
Hope they fixed the judder I keep hearing about, otherwise it's Panasonic GZ2000 for me
Why can’t I see any comments or replies on my ipad ?
No words really speechless
rollable is neat, but, i dont see the point for a fixed placement screen... would rather have a super thin display and break out box
that 8K 88'' OLED looks marvellous!
All talk about AI and smart home integration but what about improvements to Brightness, motion handling, burn in? Are they the same screens from last year but with hdmi 2 and better processor?
The box is a great concept8k ... no point at all
That's what they said when 4K rolled out. same can be said when HD & Full HD rolled out.
4k is yet to become mainstream but is slowly passing down in to consumer households8k.... why ?
I can't wait too.
Great video production and quick turnaround. 8k and HDMI 2.1 are this year's themes. Are there any 12bit panels to fully use these upgrades ?
Seams a bit sill not showing the regular OLED TVs which most people will only be able to afford to buy
Yeah agree! I wanna see the models that most of us can afford! Not the roll up TV or 8K. 😧
This is CES. It's for the industry to show off the latest and greatest. You'll be able to see the regular TVs in stores.
