@British Shorthair My point was that $70,000 isn't necessarily as affordable to most people as Hoovie made it sound, not that $70,000 is a lot for a luxury car.
lol most luxury cars cost well above 100k
Kia is the new BMW and Hyundai new Mercedes. Both cars don't break and very reliable.
Really interesting as always. Agree with everyone that it is good to see someone reviewing a luxury car and focusing on the ride and, you know, luxury!😃
Hyundai makes the Santa Fe and the Tucson. The Santa Fe has a third row option.
Hoovie, I'm an engineer working with Toyota/Lexus. We took a hyundai engine apart and we were shocked at the bad design choices. Don't buy one and don't even talk about them. Kia too.
Cough, cough, KIA Amanti, cough
At some point you have to fund your own way. Not follow in "Daddy's" footsteps. Thank you Mr. Practical. (Although impractical)
Your HP numbers are wrong Hoovie. the 2019 has only 420HP your 13 and my 15 have 429 with premium fuel. The 2019 has 7 more ft-LBS of torque, but the I think the spread is relatively similar. You should do a borla or Magna Flow exhaust, that way we know what it sounds like, I cant find video anywhere of the Equus with a performance exhaust.
c'mon koreans cars are just subpair, only on the same level than french cars. Often their engine aren't as modern as competitor, price is no longer convenient. Just watch what germans do on car world, or chineses (byd tang, roewe marvel x, lynk 01, etc...)
This video is brought to you by KIA.KIA, too bad it's a KIA.
I do not understand why you slammed the XG350L. I was lucky to find one with just over 31,000 miles two years ago. I find it to be a great luxury car with just the right amount of amenities without worrying about expensive repairs on things like reclining heated rear seats and other expensive items. The rear of my 2004 XG350L looks very similar to a 2014 Rolls Royce Phantom. I feel like a King when I am behind the wheel. The sound system is awesome and my review has just over 5,000 hits so far.
"Hunday" lmao it's Hi-un-day... Kills me everytime
I though that was a pontiac g8 gt in the thumbnail
Hoovie enjoys his actual korean luxury
My dad bought an XG350L back in 2005 it was the car that sparked my interest in cars in general. He got a lot of compliments on it just saying
It has its own look yet the front looks like it's from Audi and the back looks like it's from jaguar
Hyundai and Kia: a true zero to hero story
Great video, as always! What is really astounding is that the rear windows were cracked open slightly and it was still super quiet to the point that you didn’t notice. Wow!
At 2:34 the XG is referred to as an Xj... little slip but it's alright Tyler
They look pretty decent nowadays. Once you consider the 10yr/100k warranty it really is a great deal.
Even comes with a ‘sun rewff’ lol 😝 Hoovie :)
I had a Hyundai Grandeur, or XG300 in some markets, and as shit as it was, I absolutely loved it. And if it wasn't so shit mechanically, I'd probably still have it. New Hyundai's are phenomenal, and if I were in the market for a new car, Hyundai would easily be up there.
You should do a video where you get the cheapest Maybach and see what repairs are needed.
I have a 2003 XG350L lol. Getting rid of it soon.
I have some experience with XGs and they are actually surprisingly good and comfortable cars. Super quiet and Plush ride as well. The XG with the 3. 8 moved out smartly as well. In my circle they were referred to as the 'Korean Lincoln'.Speaking of which: Kinda sad that we can get a RWD v8 powered luxury car from Hyundai/Kia but can't from a Lincoln.
Most of you guys know nothing about hyundai history designs!!!
What are the 2 hardest things to get rid of in life ?AIDS and a used Hyundai
If I bought one of these I'm afraid my Hon would die...
Those new Genesis cars are pretty uninspiring from the outside, I looked at them and couldn't get past the derpy look. They say when you're shopping for a car when you get out of it, if you don't look back at it and smile, don't buy it. I ended up getting a Volvo S90
Hyundais first luxury car was the large 1999 Eqqus. Wasnt sold in the U.S but it SHOULD be mentioned. The XG isnt their first and it didnt compete with BMW or Mercedes. It lined up with Avalons and Impalas. I mean, if we're honest. Car & Driver even compared it to normal midsize sedans once.
you still need to throw those shoes out...cheers for the vid..
