THIS SEEMS TO TAKE UP MORE SPACE THAN A STATIC TV. A CURVED SCREEN IS A LOT COOLER THAN A BOX WHEN IT'S OFF.
I want same type small size.
Lg the king of tv's .
Who even watches TV
Great for people with views from their hillside or beachfront homes with large windows and no wall space for mounting.
Wow.. amazing.. good job LG
I had thought the same thing about the aspect ratio. It would be great if it would shrink if the content is 21:9 and such.
The only useful I can see this is to hide tv from toddlers and prevent them from breaking that very thin smart tv.
it is a disadvantage if you need to switch on the tv urgently....gotta wait for it to unfold...
Kunta Kinte You don't have to close it every time you're finished watching though, you can just leave it open.
Can’t wait for them to apply this to tablets and phones. So disappointed in Samsung right now for going foldable when they’re the ones that came up with the rollable idea in the first place...
Scaled down, this may be a better version of the “foldable” phone
The link in the description is to a Chinese website I mean come on now
Whats the point of it? Its a large ass box that takes up space either on your floor or a shelf. It doesnt give the function that actual furniture does. It has no drawers, you cant really put much on top of it. Its just a large box, taking up space. It takes time to roll out. Its unnecessary mechanics that can break. Theres superthin wallpaper TVs that take up no space and can camoflauge itself into your wall when not used, no rollout time. So why use this? Its like trying to impress a 10 year old with unnecessary "cool" mechanics. Kinda what AUDI usually do with their cars. Having displays and AC units rolling out when the car turns on with unnecessary mechanics that take time when display and ac can just be out all the time.
And what’s the benefit of this really? I rather use my TV as a mirror or a painting instead.
😶😶😶😶😲😲😲Holy shit that is amazing!!!!!
Are you very rich??😍😍😍👍
Hmm, if only there was a way to avoid buying a 99 cent duster..............
Get Rick rolled by the price of the TV.
I just bought it I'm so freaking happy. Now I won't buy a TV for the next 10 years 🤣
Hope they come out with an update for fixed aspect ratios to get rid of black bars on widescreen movies. That’d be the ultimate tv. No one else has done it yet. They did mention it tho.
Hey man I always appreciate your videos. Could you tell me the titel of the intro song ?
It's so reflective though :/ I hate reflective screens
This is very cool, but a much more economical way to achieve the same functionality would simply to incorporate a regular TV in a center console with a motorized mechanism that raises & lowers it. The only downside is you wouldn't be able to achieve that cool floating look but that's it.
It’s good if there’s a robber in the house, he won’t know there’s a tv in that box
fuck LG lets em die
Your aspect ratio is really good I'd want that!!
Wow that’s pretty awesome! I wonder how much it costs, anyone know? I tried looking online but no luck.. I have a 65 inch oled now that I spent about 3k on give or take without the sound bar.. so my guess around 5k+?
I want this soooo bad. I mean, it would make smash brothers way more epic.
(2:04) No, that's dumb. The TV would sit below eye level, and OLEDs solve the problem of black bars because they already are true-black, which gives a superior viewing experience by blocking out any surrounding light. We've reached peak technology, where design and features are starting to backwards in the pursuit of trends and gimmicks.
They should make a Rollable Phone, I’d buy it. :)
That is some tony stark shit
This is just a glorified version of those projectors with those roll-able screens
I came up with a design like this in 2013. Except my design featured a curved rolling display. Shame technology is moving so fast I won't even get to make one myself before they do
But will it work with Google home??
Personally hoping we get some smaller models ranging from 17" to 32" models for the sake of portability and transportation
televisions for seriously rich people
Why would you roll and hide such a beautiful tv, the only positive thing is for lg and the shipping and stocking areas
I don't understand by so many don't like the bars on movies. For me they don't hurt the movie experience at all and kinda makes it look more cinematic to me. Without them it's more like a TV movie ;)
Cool but why and not worth it. But good content bro
I get the feeling that the adjustable aspect ratio idea would cause some horrendous burn-in issues.
This would be good for people who want to place their TV in front of a window so that they can roll it down when they don't want to watch the TV so that the view is not obstructed and can roll it back up when they wish to watch.
Actually a huge gray box will look much better there instead of a flat screen tv. That what I thought every time I looked at my tv.
pff i wont be buying it just for the price and i think it's kinda of a gimick
