All of was good but this button problems really bad , backed u 11
Thanks, i'm not getting it.
So if you drop it you are fuqed! The buttons will stop working
It's a no from me. Goodbye
Where's the notch? Dealie killer
So does it have the dual speakers it does need a headphone jack
if HTC listens to everybody's complaints about other smartphones and their compliments about of the smartphones they may know exactly what to do we want a phone with an amazing display and amazing camera front-facing speakers a headphone jack with a quad DAC and a buttery smooth operating system advertise it send them out free to some YouTubers and I personally will buy your phone oh yeah a good battery great fast charging
That fantastic flat line at the top of the phone! If I was an Android user this would be a maybe along with the S10e
Anyone else here after hearing about Pixel 4 not having buttons?
HTC: The Best at Nothing, Priced like the Best.
I always like HTC. I hope they don’t leave the phone business forever. They haven’t announced anything yet.
Great waste of space
From 2011 to 2014 HTC was the coolest phone manufacturer.
I just don't get why companies insist on not having a headphone jack
@Troy C note 9 over here
This is why I'm staying behind. I finally upgraded from galaxy note 4 edge due to poor battery. I replaced it with a HTC one m9. The price was right.
I remember back when the m8 and m9 had just been released, HTC was killing the competition against the Samsung galaxy s5 and iPhone 6 it was one of the first to give forward firing speakers, decent display and performance, great camera, and overall great build quality, but now that we’re beginning to move onto bezel less displays, Dolby tuned speakers, processors so good they can run console like games like their flappy bird, superior build and durability......it’s gonna take htc a lot to get back in the game, I couldn’t see this competing against something like a Samsung galaxy s8-10 but it might hold its own against something like an older one plus phone
Galaxy S5 sold 8 times the number of M8s that year. It's still Samsung's worst performing S series phoneM9 sold less than the number pf seats in a minivanIt is what broke the companyAnd it's never recovered to this day
I had a few different phones over the years and by far my favorite was the HTC one M7 I really hope they bring back that style of the front facing speakers stereo sound and a headphone jack but I fear those days are long gone truly sad because My htc was much better than my old Samsung in my current iPhone
Hayyyyyyy baby sexy chocolate. 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
i love HTC, but the downsides for me are:1. i dont like the idea of squeezing my phone2. no headphone jack (i bring my headphones everywhere i go)3. Those side "buttons" dont feel as responsive as physical buttons.
lost me at no headphone jack :C
Coming back to this video after taking the risk buying one four months ago, and the U12+ has turned out excellent after some, er, "adjustments". They fixed the buttons and made the haptic response sharper, and it actually feels "cool" now with no delay. I can hand the phone to anyone, including children, and the buttons just work and they don't even ask about them. Battery life was not good out of the box, but they apparently changed something. I now leave work with the phone around 70%, and I'm a lunchtime YouTube junkie. The dual front cameras are for more than Bokeh. The cameras are used to create a 3 dimensional depth map of your face, and it works well enough that I use it for 80% of my unlocks, and 20% for the FP reader when it's inconvenient to point the phone at my face. The main camera is nice and fast and does very well. We are mostly an iPhone family and own the 6, 7, 8 Plus, and XS Max (my poor wallet!). The only iPhone we have that can hold a candle to the U12+ is the XS Max. The others are hopelessly outclassed, and my son who is a professional photographer gave up doing comparisons with his 8 Plus. The U12 is that good. I got a shock last night playing with the U12+ camera, and got photos that could rival Google's night sight, bit you have to use pro mode and know what you are doing.Performance is a plus to the plus. HTC is pretty good at tuning, but I did not expect the 845 in the U12 to be faster than the 855 in the S10. Not benchmarks, but real world use. It's not a shock though, because the U11 was faster than the S9. It's not a deal breaker by any means for someone that wants the S10, but I thought it was interesting. Gaming is one area that the U12+ stands out, and I have a girl that shows up just about every day for phone gaming sessions (which is beginning to annoy my wife!), and her iPhone overheats doing the same thing that the U12 handles with ease. Three times this month she had to let the phone cool down after doing Riptide GP2 or Leo's Fortune.Oh, forgot to mention sound! USonic earbuds. I'm a recording engineer, and I live with knowing some details and nuances in my work will probably go unnoticed by the general public. Normal headphones cannot reproduce the sound you get standing at a million dollar console in a commercial recording studio. HTC's USonic is the only thing I've heard that can come close, and it was a complete mind job for someone with my experience. The clarity, spatial imaging, crazy bass extension to frequencies that seem impossible. It will take you a week or so to get over the mind bending capabilities of USonic, and probably two weeks to get out of the habit of touching tables and walls to see if they are vibrating to the music.
Would be a good idea enable scrolling effects on the power button and use it to give the camera more features.. Figure out how to stitch the dual camera to have both active at once and use it for panorama
Oh god the graphics in the video is amazing.
Plus the squeeze feature is giving me arthritis
Fuck this shit I can't hold this damn phone without turning it off. Why the fuck would they put touch buttons on the side???
wheres the other htc phone
These buttons will make you fall in love with after a month of using, in terms of camera and usability features its the best phone on the market so far, the only minus is battery and price
I love htc
The same goes with Sony, yeah HTC is a really good brand it can't be beat.
Totally a forgotten phone, I'm watching this on my HTC 10 red camellia
Same HTC 10 Japan Red! :p but yeah, my battery is fucked, SD slot doesn't recognise the card, I need a new phone really and it seems the HTC u12 isn't it :(
Looks like a V30 (back)
Your review is so picky
I bought this phone and then chose to downgrade back to my u11 because the buttons suck. You can only change the volume while holding the phone. So when I watch things with my phone on my stand it's useless.
Watching from s10+, that phone looks like shit. Horrible
The perfection made phone.
'Great camera, one of the best balblabla'When I look back at my old M9 wich was constantly shitted on for having only an 'ok' camera, at least I had much more fun with actual details in every picture, while now the pictures aren't even worth zooming in..
History Tradition Ceremony Great Thanks
Gonna get a phone. between this are Huawei mate pro 20.... which one to get?
Watching from HTC One E8
No headphone jack?! Yet another htc I'll pass on. With that price I can pay my mortgage AND buy an LG Stylo 4+.
Bring front facing speakers back
