Tell me now!
Not bad being a little more future proof (8k), but I am more looking forward to hdmi 2.1 (atmos, gaming, and eventually better HDR). Too bad the panels are still 10 bit.
I just got the LG OLED and it's really dark...what are the optimal brightness and contrast settings?
8k television is compatible to 4k uhd bluray player???
My 65 inch LG OLED tv got burn in after 6 months. LG offered me half the purchase price of the tv towards another LG product. According to LG the life span of a tv is 1 year. My 12 year old Sony XBR tv is now in my bedroom and still looking great. I will never purchase another LG product again!
Everyone complaining about how 8K is nothingbut guys an 88" OLED even if it was HD that alone makes it a slice of heaven
i see this in 144p xd
And you get to look at that ghetto cord right in the middle of it....Fucking engineers.
The Triple 8 comming soon for an amazing prices of $25 clams
Looks like we will be skipping over 4k to 8k for people who want a 70" tv or bigger.4k for people who want 60" to 70" tvs.Smaller tvs don't do any 4k or 8k justice.
Samsung's has a 85" 8k tv for 15k.No buyers yet.I could see 85" for 8,500 and 90" 4 9,000, and a 100" for 10, 000.00.That would be a great way to price the 8k tvs.🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂❤❤❤❤
Know one will spend over 8k for a tv.So HOPEFULLY not over 8k???
Keep in mind the next generation of consoles are like 2 years away. As it stands the Xbox One X can run native 4k at a stable 60fps. What's to come from the new Xbox, 8k maybe? Even if there isn't 8k content out there the tv still upscales FHD AND UHD to 8k. It's better than 4k (especially for larger TV's) whether you want to admit it or not. I will be buying a 8k tv, because it's my money. I actually never got a 4k tv so it's the perfect time to get a new the especially when they have micro led TV's!
Has LG released dates when it's 8K OLED TV and 65 'R' 4K Roll Up will be available for Digital Trend hands-on test evaluation
We're expecting to see those in the spring.
Lg still haven’t solve the burn in issues and peak brightness still useless for 2019
Too bad it costs a arm and leg.
Their giving 8k oled to distract you from the fact they can't fix the problems with oled.. There's barely any 4k content and they jump to 8k lol. Also the size of 8k files probably 5 gigs plus. Seriously this is disappointing..
By the time 8K content becomes readily available in another 4 to 5 years and mainstream these OLED TVs are going DIE lol, why the hell would you invest in a 8K TV now when there's hardly any content future proof?? well TVs these days are designed to last 5 to 10 years, only for the elite were money is a luxury lol
This stuff is just awesome, I wish I could have seen it in person. But, as for the 8k stuff, there is no market for it, so people shouldn't feel like they're missing out on something so great lol.Games, movies, Television, none of is ready for 8k, neither are the pocketbooks of the majority of the world. It's just future tech guys, a glimpse into the far far future.
Dam this guy makes quantum look like a big turd.
It's time for lg to give Samsung a serious run in all their appliances their next TV should be a 12 K and 300" inches/ or 275" inches think seriously lg both of you Samsung are from Korea you can do a serious run for your money because lg makes better appliances than Samsung but Samsung make a vast productions to be a serious households name to everyone.

There is no innovation from the Big 3 manufacturers @Sony @Samsung @LG and you guys know there is absolutely NO focus on HDR, picture quality,10 bit color or BURN IN.... 8K is not feasible if 4K isn’t perfectedAI integration & 8K shouldn’t be the focus in 2019...smh 🧐
And TV-Programms are in 720p or 1080p...when you have got a HD+ Card.
im happy with my 1080p display.
Manufacturers of TVs are lying to you!Brought HDMI 2.1 without12bit? Where is 16 bit? There is no real improvement, no colors. The PR people are crooks!
Don’t care where’s my hdmi 2.1 I’ve been waiting since 2015 🤦♂️💯
LG could stimulate sellings only by lowering prices for a huge '' models... most of the people who could affort 65'' OLED allready have them... for example i have allready 2 65'' 4K OLEDs and i will definitely not buy 8K or even 16K 65'' for years and years forward till there will be a huge quality difference... but if its 85'' at adecvate price most of the people who have 65'' will think about buy for sure...i dont understand wtf is there so much price differences like 6 times in 65'' and even a fucking 77''???
LOL. Most digital cinemas are DCI 4K. Pixar renders all their films at 2K. Infinity War 1 and 2 were shot on 6K cameras and the CG was 2K. Huge portion of 4K blu-ray? 2K up-converts. They do this because y'all can't tell it's a 2K up-convert on your 65" 4K display. LOL.8K makes zero sense a home setting beyond e-peen bragging rights.
8k??? Thats about the price too. Lol in 5 years 50k . Their gonna keep rolling out more pixels. How bout updating features. Get rid of the trumotion "soe" garbage. add a,true black setting. Make calibrating easier for average joe who works @$$ off to save for tv like this. Rant over lol ty for reading :-)
Imagine watching porn in 8K
No for OLED only micro LED TV!
I will never buy another LG TV until they put passive 3D back on them. My current is a LG SUHD 4K 3D TV and I love it, so I will never upgrade to a new TV unless it also has passive 3D on it.
In the U.S. we barely have any broadcasting in 4K. I hear Europe has many 4K channels. And 8k is already rolling out lol. I usually watch sports, nbcs 4K looked amazing compared to the regular 720p. Without a doubt! Oh and I watched on my OLED LG.
It will suffer burn in LG fanboys love wasting their money.
This makes me happy, because it means:- SSD must get bigger and cheaper to keep up, it's been ages with old HDD that must be canceled like floppy disks, along with 1080p TV's.- 4K will be normalized: Better frames, lesser prices, more tech in general.- Graphics cards and other stuff must keep up, meaning we'll soon see plenty of 4K@120Hz and probably 240Hz.2019 is a great year for tech.
120 Hz 8K? Yea I don't think so. Gaming on a oled TV? I don't want a burn in thank you.
Just skip 8K and wait for 16K to be mass available.2 x the resolution (not 4 no matter how marketing tries to spin it) is not worth the jump to 8K, it’s better to saturate the market with huge amounts of 4K content first and when 16K is widely available it would have had time to properly bake first.
*LG 8K TVs display perfect pictures to wow the audiences.* Should we buy new smartphones that can record 8K HDR videos to watch on huge 8K TVs?
