I love this guy but this speech is so hard to follow. It’s like one damn long run on sentence. Wished he paused once in a while.

Can you imagine coach Wooden having to deal with some of today's baggy pants athletes.

We can all be like Coach Wooden! I bet he would agree with that. Follow his 3 rules, study how he lived and thought and emulate him. He said that we must have FAITH AND PATIENCE. He was a Saint of God and a man of faith. If I do the best I can to be a man of faith and work hard to develop my character then I too can be successful as Coach Wooden said. I have profound respect for this man who would roll up his program when the game was in hand. He never yelled, acted poorly and respected everyone. What a guy. Thanks Coach Wooden!

There was a time when coaches were icons of character. They focused on character. They portrayed it. They encouraged their players to have it. They ask you to own it. They ask you to share it. Their existence throughout life revolves around it. Good ones are character itself acting out through life. These special people are few. Most coaches are not real coaches. Those that are usually leave you with something that enriches you or at least they try to. The value is taken up by you.

Dear Wonnell. This is what I’ve always meant when I share with you. Love you man.

The best ever by defying EVERY SINGLE coaching and teaching strategy. Instead, respect, values, and discipline through an example that never waivers.

The best leader of young men who ever lived makes it embarrassingly simple, yet impossible to replicate, bc no coach or man before or since has been anything close to genuine. He is the greatest ever.

How hard is it to succeed in a conference that had no other good teams for decades andwas in California and the players were paid to come there by Sam Gilbert? I could have coached those teams and won just as much as Wooden. Wooden was overrated but since he was an old man he getss all this love. Bob Knight, as big a jerk as he was, did a more impressive job considering the much lesser talent and playing in a MUCH better basketball conference

Coach Wooden used to come to Campbell College basketball camp, IN Buies Creek NC, in the early 70's. I believe that he was looking for recruits in the tobacco road locations to look for exceptional players in the area where UNC, NC State, and eventually Duke players evolved. I actually was there and enjoyed the last day of the camp where Pete Maravich would come in to give a demonstration and make a few half court shots. Coach Wooden actually said to me during a exercise that " Son, you need to work with your left hand more"...….I'll take that to my grave as advice from a legend...

COACH JOHN ' THE WIZARD OF WESTWOOD ' no t only had some of the GREATEST PLAYERS to PLAY for him ,he had GREST PHILOSOPHICAL though in LIFE as well .Most unless PLAYED SPORTS at that LEVEL even HIGN SCHOOL do not UNDERSTAND how IMPORTANT to have GOOD INDIVIDUALS in these POSITIONS in LIFE . For not responding nnly are they TEACHERS of a GAME there are the SHAPERS and MOLDERS of the YOUNG MEN and WOMEN whom PLAY for them as MEN and WOMEN in LIFE . There are GUYS I know whom PLAYED only in HIGN SCHOOL but the COACHES they had they RESPECTED all their LIVES . Some where even MORE RESPECTED they MOM and DADDY . He was a GREAT INNOVATOR on the GAME he COACHED PLUS a PRETTY DAMN GOOD PLAYER .He's in the NCAA HALL FAME TWICE as a PLAYER at INDIANA and as a COACH at UCLA .His BOOK about his LIFE hthe as TITTLE at PAULEY PAVILION is GREAT READINGS and has FOOD for THOUGHT about LIFE itself one of the BETTER ONES I had READ.

Habits are not conducive with changing of the mindset today in society. Ignorance is an acceptable practice and excuse for uneducated and misguided plantation modern-day Slaves in AMERIKKKA and globally. The Word of Yahweh is entirely devalued due to an underlying emphasis on the accumulation of devalued Dead Presidents. Present day Adults are failing the younger generation in record numbers due to negative decision making. Morals and values are not being taught consistently in the Church and households today. Elders are disrespected and rejected by stubborn and confused modern-day misfits who adhere to ideologies that espouse and contribute to self-destructive attitudes and behaviors. Unfortunately, the demise of human existence is occurring more rapidly globally. Yahweh return is inevitable and no one will escape his judgment. Father, have mercy on our wretched and deranged souls.
